There were superb toasts from Billy Elliot, Tom Jarvie, Jim Campbell and a reply on behalf of the Lassies from Lynn Campbell. After the dinner and the speeches, we were entertained and danced away to Stevie Clark to the end of the night. As usual Laura and the girls supplied us with an excellent meal and a great night was had by all.

Successful visit to Lodge Loch Lochindaal in Islay.
In the last weekend of April, the brethren of 524 visited Lodge Lochindaal 1592 in Islay, where we gave a demostration of the walkthrough FC degree. During the day, a number of the brethren played golf at the Machrie Links, while the rest visited and enjoyed a couple of drams at The Bowmore distillery. The lodge was accompanied by the PGM and the PGL Secretary. Overall, it was a successful visit to Islay and 524 would like to thank the brethren of 1592 for their invite and warm hospitality.
"East Meets West of The Province" Degree
A total of 9 brethren from 524, attended the recent 2nd annual "East meets West of The Province" Degree, hosted by Lodge The Royal Stuart 1414. An excellent rendition of the EA degree was carried out by the reigning masters of the province, including our own RWM.
As the first edition of this degree was held last year at 524 and was established by Bro. Ian Bell PM, it was intimated that in future years that this degree will be known as the "Ian Bell Memorial Degree on behalf of Marcus Humphrey House" - which is a wonderful gesture by the PGL.
A total of £631 was raised in total for the Marcus Humphrey House.
A report of this degree can be found on the PGL website by clicking here.
Visit To Lodge Oban Commerical 180.
The Lodge recently visited Lodge Oban Commerical where we carried out an demostration of the walkthrough FC degree. The degree went well and was well received by the brethren asembled.
A meal and harmony followed after the meeting, and the brethren of 180 showed their generosity by donating the collection to our charity, the Beatson Lanarkshire.
Again an excellent and enjoyable visit to Oban and would to thank 180 for their invite and excellent hospitality.

Another great night in the club last week. We had our latest charity cabaret in aid of the Beatson, our nominated charity for this year. We were entertained by The St Andrews Sisters - they were absolutely fantastic and well appreciated by the crowd. The night was held together by Dougie Johnston, who sang big band standards. All in a great night, and we managed to raise £390 to add to our charity pot. A big thank you to all those who came along and supported the event.
