Visitation to Lodge Douglas, Friday 8th January.
Unfortunately our first visitation of the year to Lodge Douglas No 1557 to confer a Fellowcraft Degree on Friday 8th January had to be cancelled due to heavy snow in the East Kilbride area.
Annual Burns Supper, Friday 22nd January.
The Brethren, family and friends of 524 enjoyed another fantastic Burns Supper last night. There were superb toasts from Iain Macdonald, Billy Elliot, Derek Bell and a reply on behalf of the Lassies from Bella McGlumpher. As usual Laura and the girls supplied us with an excellent meal and a great night was had by all.

Sportsmans Dinner, Friday 22nd April

Annual Installation, Saturday 17th December
On Saturday 17th December the lodge held its 144th Annual Installation of Office Bearers. It was held in the Old Parish Church Hall at the usual time of 3.55pm (524).
There was an exceptionally large turn out on the day, all seats were taken and a number of brethren had to stand at the back of the hall. The deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire East totalled seventeen and was headed by Bro Robert McPhee RWSPGM. There was also a deputation of Reigning Masters headed by Bro Stuart Fotheringham, RWM of Lodge Buchanan No 1499 and a number of visitors from within and out with the province.
Bro Ian McCutcheon was installed as RWM by two very capable Installing Masters, Bro Robert Cook and Bro Iain MacDonald both Past Masters of the Lodge. The installing board was an all standing affair as all the seats were in the hall for the main event.
The Installing Masters are to be congratulated for all the work they put in over the last few months, well done to Bobby and Iain. It was a very well organised day mainly down to the brethren’s hard work setting up the hall in the morning, and clearing it immediately after the Installation had finished.
We then retired back to the Lodge for the formal meal and speeches. Later in the evening we were joined by the ladies, and entertained by a live singer into the wee small hours. So all together it was another very successful day for the brethren, family and friends of 524.
